Comcare is the federal workers compensation scheme. It covers Australian Government employees and the staff of national employers licensed under it, in every state and territory. Comcare funds telehealth physiotherapy, so a worker in a remote town is as reachable as one in a capital city.
Approved once, then straight into treatment
Comcare is one of the most straightforward schemes in the country for online physiotherapy. A physiotherapist needs current AHPRA registration, not a scheme provider number, so there is no state border to work around and no registration queue to wait in. Your claims manager approves treatment on your claim and we get started.
- An initial block of physiotherapy is funded on an approved claim
- After the first five sessions we write and submit your Physiotherapy Treatment Plan
- A fresh plan is also needed after a long break in treatment or a change of clinic
