Telehealth physiotherapy for the workers your local physios cannot reach

Local physios two hours away or booked out for two weeks? Refer the worker to PACT Virtual Care. We confirm the cover, run the first consultation by secure video, usually within the week, and send you the note the same day.

The problem you already know

Two hours away, or booked out for two weeks

If you manage claims outside the cities you know the pattern. The certificate says physiotherapy, the nearest clinic is a long drive away or has a waiting list, and the worker sits at home while the claim ages. PACT Virtual Care exists for exactly that file. We take the referral, confirm the cover with the insurer and run the first consultation by secure video, usually within the week, wherever the worker is.

  • First video consultation usually within the week, from home or the workplace
  • A full assessment, working diagnosis and recovery plan on the first call
  • Treatment requests and approvals prepared and submitted from our side
  • Same day consultation notes, and progress reports on schedule
  • Capacity and suitable duties advice written for the certificate and the return to work plan
  • In person mobile physiotherapy arranged where a local clinician is available

Principal Physiotherapist

Your worker is treated by a physiotherapist who has done your job: a decade as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant with national providers and as a Senior Workplace Health and Safety and Injury Management Advisor for large Australian organisations, on top of 16 years treating injured workers.

  • Knows what the file needs from the treating physiotherapist, and when
  • Recover at work woven through every consultation
  • AHPRA registered, SIRA approved
You get a treating physio who writes for the case manager, not just the patient.
How to refer

Three ways to send a worker

1

Email the referral

Send the worker's name, phone number, location, claim number and insurer, plus the certificate of capacity and any approval already in place, to [email protected].

2

Call us

Call (02) 8105 6506 and give us the basics. We take the rest from there and call you back within one business day.

3

Use the form below

Put the worker's details in the form and your own name and email in the case manager field, so you get the same day note.

We confirm the cover and any approvals with the insurer before the first consultation, and we tell you straight away if a worker needs to be seen in person.

Where we cover

Online physiotherapy, state by state

Physiotherapy registration is national, so what decides your cover is the scheme and the insurer, not where the physiotherapist sits. Here is where we can treat a work injury today, and how the billing works in each state.

New South Wales

In New South Wales we treat icare and SIRA workers compensation claims and CTP motor accident claims, and bill the insurer directly. On an accepted claim there is nothing for you to pay.

Queensland

In Queensland we treat WorkCover Queensland work injury claims and CTP motor accident claims by video. Telehealth needs the insurer's prior approval, which we arrange for you. On an accepted claim there is nothing for you to pay.

South Australia

In South Australia we treat ReturnToWorkSA work injury claims by telehealth, and we confirm CTP motor accident cover with your insurer before we start.

Tasmania

In Tasmania we deliver workers compensation physiotherapy by telehealth, as we already do for Tasmanian employers, and we confirm MAIB motor accident cover before we start.

Victoria

In Victoria we treat TAC motor accident claims and WorkSafe Victoria work injury claims by telehealth and bill the insurer directly, with your cover and any approvals confirmed before we start. Federal workers are covered by Comcare anywhere.

Northern Territory

In the Northern Territory, TIO motor accident physiotherapy can be delivered by telehealth, and we confirm workers compensation cover with your insurer before we start. Federal workers are covered by Comcare.

Western Australia

In Western Australia we cover federal workers through Comcare and arrange mobile physiotherapy where one is available. For WA workers compensation and motor injury, we confirm your cover and any approvals with your insurer before we start.

Federal workers are covered by Comcare anywhere in Australia. We confirm your cover and any approvals with your insurer before we start.

Request a physiotherapist

Get support in your area

Cannot get to a physiotherapist near you? Fill this in and we will call you back. We start care by telehealth, and arrange an in person mobile physiotherapist where one is available in your area. On an accepted workers compensation or CTP claim there is nothing for you to pay.

What kind of injury

We will be in touch within one business day. Your details are used only to arrange your care.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know before you book

How quickly can you see a worker?
Usually within the week, and often sooner. The first consultation runs by secure video from the worker's home or workplace, so there is no travel and no waiting list.
What do you need from me to start?
The worker's name, phone number and location, the claim number and insurer, and if you have them the certificate of capacity and any approval already in place. We confirm the cover with the insurer before the first consultation.
Which schemes do you treat?
NSW icare and SIRA claims, WorkCover Queensland with the prior approval we arrange, ReturnToWorkSA, WorkCover Tasmania, TAC and WorkSafe Victoria, and Comcare anywhere in Australia, plus CTP motor accident claims. Where cover is not yet confirmed we check with the insurer first and tell you where it stands.
What reporting will I get?
A consultation note the same day, progress reports on schedule, treatment requests prepared and submitted from our side, and capacity and suitable duties advice written so it drops straight into the certificate and the return to work plan.
What if the worker needs hands on treatment?
We tell you straight away. Where a mobile physiotherapist is available near the worker we arrange an in person home or workplace visit, and where there is a local clinic with capacity we say so rather than keep a worker on video who should be seen in person.
Is online physiotherapy the same as telehealth?
Yes. Online physiotherapy and telehealth physiotherapy are the same thing at PACT: a secure video consultation with an AHPRA registered physiotherapist, with the same reporting and insurer billing as an in person visit.
