RADAR, answered.
The questions employers, insurers and treating providers ask most. If yours is not here, contact us and we will answer it.
What is RADAR?
RADAR by PACT is PACT Health's workers compensation program for the complex, chronic claims that are not progressing as hoped. It does not add another treatment program. The employer or insurer refers the case in, and RADAR gives the providers already on the claim the visibility, the Functional Progress Ratio and the decision framework to see it through.
Who is RADAR for?
It is for employers, insurers and injury management decision makers carrying complex or chronic work related claims, and it is built to read supportively to the treating physiotherapists, psychologists and injured workers on those claims.
How is RADAR different from a traditional delivered program?
A traditional delivered program bolts a new multidisciplinary team and sensor technology onto the claim. RADAR is software: it enables the team already on the claim, at about half the cost, and it scales across every claim rather than a curated cohort.
Will RADAR replace my treating provider?
No. RADAR backs the team already on the claim and never replaces them. The worker keeps their treating provider, and existing treatment and AHTRs are never blocked or defunded.
How does RADAR measure progress?
With the Functional Progress Ratio, a single ratio showing the direction and rate of functional recovery, read by trajectory: climbing, slowing, or plateaued. It is descriptive, not a forecast, and it sits alongside validated measures such as the OMPQ, PSEQ and DASS21.
What are the tiers and what do they cost?
There are three tiers, chosen per case: RADAR Pulse at $2,295 per worker, RADAR Vector at $4,195 per worker, and RADAR Summit at $6,995 per worker. There is no setup fee. You only pay for the workers you refer.
What is the difference between Pulse, Vector and Summit?
Pulse is the read: a one off telehealth assessment, the Trajectory Audit Report, a GP letter and a recommendation. Vector adds active support: four sessions over six weeks, interim measures, one Independent Clinical Review (a collegial case conference with the treating provider), and Cognitive Coaching on the physical arm where the measures show it is needed. Summit is more of that sustained support: up to three Independent Clinical Reviews in total, about one every four weeks, four to eight further sessions with an Exercise Physiology transition or structured handover, and a closing review. Each tier includes everything in the one before it.
When should I refer, and to which tier?
Refer a complex or chronic claim. Use Pulse for an early or borderline read, Vector when the claim would benefit from active support and the treating team aligned, and Summit when the claim is complex and multifactorial and needs sustained support and the full pathway. The Which program page walks through it.
Can I upgrade mid claim?
Yes. The tiers are cumulative, so you can start at Pulse or Vector and upgrade mid claim by paying the difference.
How does billing work?
You pay per worker, choosing the tier per case, with one invoice per worker, and no setup fee. Independent Clinical Reviews, the collegial case conferences with your treating team, are included in the tier fee: one at Vector, up to three at Summit, with nothing extra to pay for them.
What is Informed Provider Education?
The treating provider completes six short clinical case studies. It is RADAR's own competency check that they work to the principles they already work to under their SIRA workers compensation approval. It is not a SIRA accreditation. If an answer flags a gap, PACT shares a short information sheet and offers a collegial Independent Clinical Review. There is no pay for time.
How is data handled?
Clinical and enquiry information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the SIRA Workers Compensation Guidelines. De identified case data may be retained to refine the methodology, with no individual worker identifiable in the aggregate. See the Privacy page for detail.
