Coverage

One standard of care, wherever you are in NSW

Injured workers travel further than most people for the right physiotherapist, because on a claim the quality of your treatment and your reports shapes the whole recovery. Our clinic in Miranda, in Sydney's south, treats workers from across the city, with early, evening and weekend appointments that fit around suitable duties and shift work.

If getting to the clinic is not practical, whether you are in Western Sydney, on the Central Coast, in the Illawarra or anywhere regional, PACT Virtual Care delivers the same assessment, rehabilitation programming and insurer reporting by telehealth. Telehealth physiotherapy is funded on accepted NSW workers compensation claims when it is clinically appropriate, and many workers combine telehealth reviews with periodic in clinic visits.

Work injury is different

A physio who knows the claim side as well as the injury

Treating a work injury well means more than good hands on care. Your physiotherapist writes the recovery reports your case manager relies on, recommends capacity that feeds your Certificate of Capacity, liaises with rehabilitation providers, and helps shape the plan that gets you back to work safely. Done poorly, that paperwork is exactly what makes claims stall.

Andrew Ellis founded PACT after a decade inside the occupational rehabilitation system, working as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant for national providers and as a Senior WHS and Injury Management Advisor inside large Australian organisations. He has managed injured worker caseloads, written return to work plans, and advised the employers and insurers on the other side of the process. That experience is built into how every PACT report is written and every recovery is planned.

You also have the right to choose your own physiotherapist on a NSW claim, and to switch to PACT mid claim with one pre approved takeover session. The choice of who treats you is yours, not your employer's or the insurer's.

Insurers

The insurers and schemes we work with

We treat workers insured through the icare scheme agents, including EML, Allianz, GBS, QBE and DXC, as well as self insured employers and interstate schemes where NSW treatment is approved. Motor accident injuries under a NSW CTP claim are billed the same way, direct to the insurer with no gap.

Every invoice goes straight to the insurer under SIRA rates. You never handle a bill, chase a rebate or pay a gap on an accepted claim, from your first assessment to your final discharge report.

Start here

Getting started from anywhere in NSW

Have your claim number and insurer name ready, then call (02) 8330 6776 or send your details through the claim form on our workers compensation page. We confirm approval with the insurer, book you in at the clinic or by telehealth, and send our first report to your case manager the same day as your assessment.

Cost

No out of pocket cost

On an accepted workers compensation or CTP claim, your treatment is billed directly to the insurer. There is no gap and nothing for you to pay at your appointment, and we handle the invoicing for you. If you are a private patient, see our fees.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Do you only treat workers near Miranda?
No. The clinic in Miranda treats workers from right across Sydney, and PACT Virtual Care covers the rest of NSW and Australia by telehealth. On an accepted claim both are billed direct to the insurer with nothing for you to pay.
Is telehealth physiotherapy funded on workers comp in NSW?
Yes. Telehealth physiotherapy is funded on accepted NSW workers compensation claims when it is clinically appropriate for your injury. We assess what suits your situation and combine telehealth with in clinic care where that helps.
Can I choose my own physio for my workers comp claim?
Yes. In NSW you have the right to choose your own SIRA approved physiotherapist. Your employer or insurer can suggest a clinic, but the choice is yours, and you can change physios during your claim. If you move to PACT mid claim, we take over with one pre approved session and handle the approval paperwork from there.
Do I need a GP referral to see a physio on workers comp in NSW?
No. Under SIRA rules you can see a physiotherapist without a GP referral, and the first eight sessions with an approved claim are pre approved. You will need a claim number, and a Certificate of Capacity comes from your nominated treating doctor for the claim itself, but treatment does not wait for a referral.
Which insurers do you bill directly?
All icare scheme agents including EML, Allianz, GBS, QBE and DXC, plus self insured employers, NSW CTP insurers and interstate schemes where NSW treatment is approved. If you are not sure who your insurer is, bring your claim number and we will work it out.
How fast can I be seen?
Usually within a few days, often faster. The clinic runs seven days with appointments to 9pm on weekdays, and telehealth adds even more flexibility. Early treatment is strongly linked to better recovery on work injuries, so we prioritise new claims.
