Same day appointments, often available

When something flares up, waiting days for help is the last thing you need. We hold time in the diary for urgent presentations, so a same day appointment is often available, especially if you call early. We cannot guarantee a slot every single day, but we will always tell you the soonest time we have and put you on the waiting list if the day is full.

Our Miranda clinic is open 7 days. Monday to Friday we run from 7:30am to 9pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am to 6pm, so there is usually an early or late option that fits around work or family.

If today is genuinely full, telehealth through PACT Virtual Care can often get you assessed and started on a plan the same day, anywhere in Australia.

Get in fastest

How to get the earliest appointment

A few simple things make it far more likely we can see you today. The earlier in the day you reach us, the more options we have left in the diary.

If your preferred time has gone, say yes to the waiting list. Cancellations happen, and we work down that list first when a slot opens up.

  • Call us on (02) 8330 6776 first thing, or book online and add a note that it is urgent
  • Be flexible on time, an early morning or late evening slot is often the quickest way in
  • Ask to go on the waiting list if today looks full, so we can call you the moment a slot frees up
  • Have any claim or referral details ready if it is a work or road injury, so we can start without delay
  • If you cannot get in today, ask about a same day telehealth assessment through PACT Virtual Care
Day one

What we can do on your first visit

Your first appointment is a full 60 minutes, so there is real time to understand what happened, examine the area properly and reach a working diagnosis. You leave with a clear explanation and a plan, not a rushed once over.

Hands on treatment usually starts on day one. Depending on what we find, that can include dry needling, soft tissue release and joint mobilisation, paired with simple advice on movement, pain relief and what to do over the next few days.

We also set you up with a short, doable exercise rehabilitation program so the progress you make today keeps going at home. The aim is to settle things down quickly and give you a clear path forward.

Common reasons

What people come in for on the day

Sudden, sharp pain is the most common reason people want to be seen today. We regularly help with acute lower back pain, sciatica, a stiff or locked neck, and headaches that have flared up out of nowhere.

We also see plenty of fresh sprains, strains and sports injuries, from rolled ankles to shoulder and elbow pain, where getting the right advice early makes a real difference to how the next few weeks go.

Not sure if your problem needs urgent attention? Give us a call and we will give you honest guidance on whether today, this week, or a telehealth chat is the right next step.

Work and road injuries

Same day help for work and road injuries

Hurt at work or in a motor accident? We are an approved provider under SIRA (icare NSW) and experienced across the workers compensation and CTP schemes, so we can get you in quickly and handle the insurer side for you. We bill workers compensation, CTP and WorkCover Queensland insurers directly.

On an accepted NSW workers compensation claim, we can usually start your physiotherapy without waiting for further approval. Where your injury has not been treated by a physiotherapist before and treatment begins within three months of your injury, SIRA allows up to eight sessions before any further approval is needed. After that, we simply send your insurer an Allied Health Treatment Request setting out your progress and proposed plan, and continue your care once it is approved. Every claim is a little different, so we confirm your exact arrangement with your insurer or case manager before we begin.

On an accepted claim, reasonably necessary treatment is billed directly to your insurer, so there is no gap fee and nothing for you to pay at the appointment. If you need a report or paperwork for your insurer or employer, we can often get the same day reporting moving so your claim does not stall.
