One clinic, the whole Shire

Local physiotherapy for the Sutherland Shire

From our clinic at Unit 1/196 Sylvania Road, Miranda, we look after people right across the Shire, from Cronulla and the beaches to Menai and the western suburbs, and the bayside streets just across Tom Uglys and Captain Cook bridges. One central location, an easy run from most of the Shire.

Every appointment is unhurried. Your first visit is a full 60 minutes, so there is time to assess properly, give you a clear diagnosis and explain a plan you actually understand. No 20 minute rush, no guesswork.

Cannot make it in that week? PACT Virtual Care offers telehealth physiotherapy across Australia, so your care can keep going from home or work.

What we do

Hands on care, backed by rehab

We combine skilled hands on treatment with the exercise side that makes results last. Most plans mix manual therapy and dry needling to settle pain early, then progress into rehab so you build back strength and confidence rather than just chasing the ache.

If pain has been hanging around for months, our chronic pain physiotherapy takes a broader view, pairing manual therapy and graded movement with practical education on the things that keep flare ups going.

Injuries we treat

From a fresh strain to stubborn pain

Whether it is a new work or sport injury or a problem that has not settled on its own, we assess it, name it and build a plan to get you moving again. Common reasons people from the Shire come in:

Claims handled

Workers comp and CTP, billed directly

A lot of our work is helping Shire workers and drivers recover after an injury. We treat NSW workers compensation and CTP motor accident claims, and we manage WorkCover Queensland too. On an accepted claim, reasonably necessary treatment is billed directly to your insurer, so there is no gap fee and nothing for you to pay at your appointment.

We handle the paperwork that keeps a claim moving, from the reporting your insurer needs to working alongside your treating doctor and case manager. Every claim is a little different, so we confirm your exact arrangement with your insurer or case manager before we begin.

  • Workers compensation: icare NSW and its scheme agents EML, Allianz, Gallagher Bassett, QBE and DXC
  • CTP motor accidents: NRMA, QBE, GIO and Allianz
  • WorkCover Queensland claims also managed
  • Direct insurer billing on accepted claims, so no gap for you

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Where is the clinic and which areas do you cover?
We are at Unit 1/196 Sylvania Road, Miranda NSW 2228, central to the Shire. From here we care for patients right across the Sutherland Shire, from Cronulla and the beaches to Sutherland, Gymea, Sylvania, Menai and the western suburbs, plus the bayside streets just over Tom Uglys and Captain Cook bridges. Telehealth is also available Australia wide.
How much does physiotherapy cost?
Initial physiotherapy is $165 for 60 minutes and follow ups are $142 for 40 minutes. Approved workers compensation, CTP and early intervention claims are billed directly to the insurer, so there is nothing for you to pay on an accepted claim. Medicare Chronic Disease Management and private health rebates apply where you are eligible.
Do I need a referral to book?
No referral is needed to book privately, you can book online or call us directly. Referrals are required for Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans and most claim pathways.
Do you take workers comp and CTP claims?
Yes. We treat NSW workers compensation and CTP motor accident claims and manage WorkCover Queensland too. On an accepted claim, reasonably necessary treatment is billed directly to your insurer with no gap for you. We confirm your exact arrangement with your insurer or case manager before we begin.
Can I see eight workers comp sessions without waiting for approval?
Often, yes. Where your injury has not been treated by a physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath or accredited exercise physiologist before, and treatment begins within three months of the injury, SIRA allows up to eight consultations on an accepted claim before any further approval is needed. The number can differ in other situations, for example up to three if treatment starts more than three months after the injury. After that we simply send your insurer an Allied Health Treatment Request and continue your care once it is approved. We always confirm the exact arrangement with your insurer or case manager.
Can I be seen by telehealth instead of coming in?
Yes. PACT Virtual Care offers telehealth physiotherapy across Australia, which is handy for the weeks getting to Miranda is hard. For workers compensation, telehealth is more restricted and usually needs insurer pre approval, so we assess clinical appropriateness case by case and arrange any approval required.
