Sports injury physiotherapy

Physiotherapy to treat your sports injury and get you back to training and competing, with the strength and control to stay there.

The treatment

What it is

If you have picked up an injury training or competing, we can help you treat it and get back to your sport. We assess the injury, the demands of your sport and the way you move, then build a plan that returns you to play with the strength and control to stay there.

From acute sprains and strains to stubborn tendon problems and post surgical knee rehab, we manage the early settling, the rebuild and the graded return to sport, with clear milestones along the way. You return when you can do the job safely, not on a guessed date.

Care is led by Andrew Ellis and the team, drawing on more than 14 years of experience and the same hands on therapy, dry needling and exercise rehabilitation we use across the clinic. We treat a wide range of sports and sporting injuries, across running, team sports, the gym and recreational activity.

What to expect

How it works at PACT

1

Diagnose

We assess the injury and the demands of your sport so the plan targets what you actually need to do on the park or in the gym.

2

Rebuild

Hands on treatment settles things early where it helps, then strength, control and movement work restore the capacity the injury took away.

3

Return to sport

A graded, milestone based return gets you back with confidence, not guesswork, and builds the durability that lowers the chance of the same injury returning.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

When can I get back to sport?
It depends on the injury and your sport. We set clear milestones to meet rather than a guessed date, so you return when you can do it safely.
Do I have to stop training completely?
Rarely. We usually find ways to keep you moving and training around the injury while it settles.
Can you help prevent it happening again?
Yes. A big part of the plan is building the strength and control that lowers the chance of the same injury returning.
Do you treat all sports?
Yes. We treat injuries across running, team sports, the gym and recreational activity. The plan is built around the demands of your sport, whatever it is.
Do I need a referral for a sports injury?
No. You can book privately without a referral. If your injury happened at work or in a motor accident, an accepted claim is billed directly to the insurer.
How much does it cost?
Initial physiotherapy is $165 for 60 minutes and follow ups are $142 for 40 minutes. Approved workers comp and CTP appointments are billed directly to the insurer.
