Physiotherapy with HCF extras in Miranda
HCF members with extras that include physiotherapy can claim their benefit at PACT in Miranda. Check your cover in a minute, know your gap before you book, and claim on the spot on the day.
How HCF extras works for physiotherapy
HCF is one of Australia's largest health funds and runs as a not for profit, and plenty of its members live and work around Miranda and the Sutherland Shire. If your HCF extras policy includes physiotherapy, it pays a set benefit toward each consultation with an AHPRA registered physiotherapist, which every physiotherapist at PACT is.
What you get back depends on your level of cover and your remaining annual limit, and HCF can quote it exactly through the HCF app, online or over the phone. Our fees never move around on you, $165 for a 60 minute initial appointment and $142 for a 40 minute follow up, so your quoted benefit tells you your precise gap before you book.
Make your annual limit work across your rehab
Physiotherapy benefits sit under an annual limit that on most policies resets on 1 January, and unused benefits generally do not carry over into the new year. If you are working through a rehabilitation program, it is worth checking your remaining limit early, because it changes how we sensibly space your sessions.
If your limit runs out partway through care, sessions revert to our standard private fees, and where you are eligible a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP can contribute toward up to five sessions a year as an alternative. New or recently upgraded extras policies often carry a waiting period, typically around two months, before physiotherapy benefits can be claimed.
On the spot, or through the HCF app
Bring your HCF membership card and claim on the spot at the clinic after your session, paying only the gap on the day. If you pay in full instead, your receipt carries the provider details and item codes HCF needs, and you can submit it through the HCF app or your online member account in a few minutes.
Thinking about telehealth? Some funds pay extras benefits for telehealth physiotherapy consultations and some do not, so check your policy with HCF before booking a PACT Virtual Care appointment.
What your HCF benefit buys at PACT
PACT is an independent physiotherapy clinic, not owned by or affiliated with HCF or any fund, so your benefit is set by your policy and the appointment standard is set by us. Initials run a full 60 minutes one on one and follow ups run 40 minutes, with time to assess properly, treat and build you a plan.
Where clinically appropriate, trigger point dry needling is included within the standard consultation rather than billed separately. Find us at Unit 1, 196 Sylvania Road, Miranda, open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9pm and weekends 8:30am to 6pm, with online booking any time.
What you will actually pay
The full fee is $165 for an initial visit and $142 for a follow up, and every appointment is a full, unhurried session with the time to work through complex, persistent problems. Once your cover is applied, here is what you actually pay.
Before any rebate. Private paying is welcome, and your fee buys the whole session, never a rushed 20 minutes.
A GP Chronic Disease Management referral rebates $61.80 on every visit, up to 5 a year.
The usual out of pocket once you claim on the spot, depending on your level of cover.
Nothing for you to pay at any visit. Accepted workers compensation and CTP motor accident claims are billed straight to your insurer, and we handle the paperwork.
The bars compare what an initial and a follow up visit cost you on each pathway.
