Physiotherapy with Medibank or ahm extras in Miranda
Medibank and ahm members with extras that include physiotherapy can use them at PACT. You choose your physio, we keep the fee upfront, and claiming takes a minute at the front desk or in the app.
Medibank and ahm members can both claim here
Medibank is one of Australia's largest health insurers, and ahm is part of the Medibank group, so we see a lot of both around the Sutherland Shire. If your Medibank or ahm extras policy includes physiotherapy, you can claim a benefit toward your sessions at PACT.
The benefit amount is set by your policy level and your remaining annual limit, not by the clinic. Checking takes a minute in the My Medibank or ahm app, or over the phone. Compare your quoted benefit against our fees of $165 for a 60 minute initial and $142 for a 40 minute follow up and you have your exact gap before you book.
You pick your physio, your policy pays the same way
Extras benefits are payable for consultations with AHPRA registered physiotherapists, and you are free to use them with any registered physio you choose. That choice matters more than most people realise, because the appointment itself is what you are actually paying for.
At PACT the whole session is one on one with your physiotherapist. Initials run a full 60 minutes so there is time to properly assess the problem, not just the sore spot, and follow ups run 40 minutes. Where clinically appropriate, trigger point dry needling is delivered within the standard consultation rather than billed as an extra.
On the spot at the clinic, or in the app after
Bring your Medibank or ahm membership card and claim on the spot after your session, paying only the gap on the day. Prefer to sort it later? Pay in full and submit the claim through the My Medibank app or the ahm app with the receipt we give you, which carries the provider details and item codes your fund needs.
Keep an eye on your annual physiotherapy limit, which on most policies resets on 1 January without unused benefits carrying over, and note that new or upgraded extras policies often carry a short waiting period, typically around two months, before physiotherapy benefits can be claimed.
Open 7 days, early and late
Shift work, school runs and full time jobs are exactly why we run the hours we do. The Miranda clinic is open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9pm and weekends 8:30am to 6pm, so using your extras does not mean using your annual leave.
We are at Unit 1, 196 Sylvania Road, Miranda, a short walk from Westfield Miranda. Book online any time or call the clinic. No referral is needed to book or to claim with your extras.
What you will actually pay
The full fee is $165 for an initial visit and $142 for a follow up, and every appointment is a full, unhurried session with the time to work through complex, persistent problems. Once your cover is applied, here is what you actually pay.
Before any rebate. Private paying is welcome, and your fee buys the whole session, never a rushed 20 minutes.
A GP Chronic Disease Management referral rebates $61.80 on every visit, up to 5 a year.
The usual out of pocket once you claim on the spot, depending on your level of cover.
Nothing for you to pay at any visit. Accepted workers compensation and CTP motor accident claims are billed straight to your insurer, and we handle the paperwork.
The bars compare what an initial and a follow up visit cost you on each pathway.
