Using nib extras for physiotherapy

If your nib extras policy includes physiotherapy, it pays a benefit toward each consultation with an AHPRA registered physiotherapist. Every physiotherapist at PACT is AHPRA registered with a Medicare provider number at the Miranda clinic, so nib members can claim here in the usual way.

Your benefit amount is set by your policy level and your remaining annual limit, and the nib app will show you both in under a minute. Our fees are fixed and published, $165 for a 60 minute initial appointment and $142 for a 40 minute follow up, so once nib quotes your benefit you know your exact out of pocket before you book.

Claiming

At the clinic on the day, or in the nib app

Bring your nib membership card and claim on the spot after your session, paying only the gap. If you would rather pay in full, your receipt includes the provider details and item codes nib needs and you can submit the claim through the nib app or your online member account, usually in a couple of minutes.

New or recently upgraded policies often carry a short waiting period for extras like physiotherapy, typically around two months, so if you have just joined nib it is worth confirming your waiting period has passed before your first appointment.

Telehealth

Cannot get to Miranda? Ask nib about telehealth

Some funds pay extras benefits for telehealth physiotherapy consultations and some do not, and policies differ, so the honest answer is to check yours with nib before booking. If your policy does include it, PACT Virtual Care runs video physiotherapy consultations Australia wide with the same physiotherapists who work in the clinic.

Telehealth suits follow up care, exercise progression and injuries that do not need hands on treatment on the day. If we assess that your problem genuinely needs in person care, we will tell you that rather than book you a video call for the sake of it.

The clinic

Independent, unhurried and open 7 days

PACT is an independent physiotherapy clinic, not owned by or affiliated with nib or any fund. Initial appointments run a full 60 minutes one on one and follow ups run 40 minutes, with trigger point dry needling included within the standard consultation where clinically appropriate rather than billed separately.

We are at Unit 1, 196 Sylvania Road, Miranda, open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 9pm and weekends 8:30am to 6pm. Book online any time or call the clinic, no referral needed.

Yes, if your nib extras policy includes physiotherapy. Benefits are payable for consultations with AHPRA registered physiotherapists, which every physiotherapist at PACT is. Claim on the spot at the Miranda clinic or through the nib app with our receipt.
How much will nib pay toward my session?
